2025 Science Gala:
“Under the Stars”
Tickets for the third annual Science Gala are now officially open! Use the QR code or click the button below to grab your early bird tickets now.
Want to bring some friends? You can also book a table that seats up to 8.
Note that early bird tickets end at January 15, and all ticket sales end January 30.
Tickets include a dinner, entertainment, and an afterparty with DJ Dumo. Bar is 19+, but the Gala is open for all ages. We look forward to seeing everyone there!

Location: Conexus Arts Centre
Dress code: Formal

Past Events
Science Gala 2024
On February 3, 2024, the SSS with other student clubs and societies held a large-scale gala at the Conexus Arts Centre. Based around a masquerade theme, students also enjoyed food, drinks, entertainment, and an after-party.
Bowling Night ‘24
On October 11, 2024, the SSS, along with the Pre-Medicine club, hosted a bowling night at the Golden Mile Bowling Lanes. Tickets sold quickly and 11/16 lanes were fully booked.
Games Night
On November 26, 2023, the SSS collaborated with the Psychology Students’ Society for games night. Students played the hit game, Among Us and other games like Jackbox and Kahoot.
Drive-in movie
The SSS is hosted a drive-in movie on Friday, September 11 at the Conexus Arts Centre parking lot. Admission was FREE for all U of R students.
Students that attended watched Jurassic Park and Life.
Career Series
Throughout the Fall semester, the SSS will be hosting several Zoom meetings, each with a professional in a science related career. Students will gain insights on the career and have the opportunity to ask questions. Sessions include meetings with a lab technician, a dentist, a pharmacist, and more.
